Compact yet generously spacious. A paradox that typifies the contemporary Flemish villa. And this house, located in a green suburb, is no exception.
A structural tour de force, in which a massive stone shell rests on just two columns. Around it, we built a warm, barrier-free bastion of cosiness. With a clear focus on intertwining with nature. Not only outside, but also inside. With a floating awning, pierced to make room for a tree.
The grand garden with orchard offered an inspiring perspective for a sizable pool house, naturally with a swimming pool. And yet the whole doesn’t look like an unwelcome invasion of the landscape. Quite the contrary, rather enticing, enriching and connecting.
Compact comfort, rural but in the proximity of the city. For this villa we combined the best of different worlds.
