Intersection of urban revival

Location: Genk

in cooperation with PCp architects

Image-defining. A proud revival. That’s what Residence Rembrandt in Genk city centre seems to tell us today.

The intersection of the major approach roads Europalaan and Bochtlaan now exudes a dynamism that extends the urban fabric of Genk city centre. Rembrandt is a multifunctional complex where the residential function comes first, although services and catering also occupy a premium place.

With 41 flats, it offers a guarantee of diverse living thanks to different housing types and surface areas. Add to this a private green courtyard, proximity to the bustling city centre as well as direct links to traffic arteries.

Our mission was to revive an old site by turning it into an architectural point of reference. The horizontal line pattern of the façade is clean, sober yet playful thanks to subtle interventions in the façade. A painting with a brush of decorative plaster. Residence Rembrandt is absolutely worthy of Genk.
